Bowe Dental

Bowe Dental was delighted to sponsor the 142nd Nenagh Open last month, continuing its support for grassroots sports and community wellbeing across County Tipperary. Hosted by Nenagh Lawn Tennis Club, the tournament stands as one of Ireland’s longest-running sporting traditions, bringing together competitors, families, and spectators for a week of high-level tennis and community spirit. Local sports clubs form the social backbone of our towns, driven entirely by the tireless dedication of committees, coaches, and volunteers. Sponsoring historic fixtures like the Nenagh Open allows Bowe Dental to actively give back to the communities where our team lives and works. From traditional festivals to local sports clubs across Tipperary, Limerick, and Cork, Bowe Dental remains committed to making a visible, positive local impact . We extend our congratulations to all the tournament competitors and a sincere thank-you to Nenagh Lawn Tennis Club, its committee, and the volunteers who made the 142nd staging of the event such a memorable success.

On Friday, 28 August 2026, Bowe Dental proudly co-hosted Trad at the Crescent with Limerick City & County Council, an afternoon of live traditional Irish music held right on our doorstep at The Crescent, O'Connell Avenue. From 3pm to 5pm, the historic Georgian streetscape outside our Centre of Excellence clinic came alive with fiddles, guitar, and banjo, as locals and visitors gathered for a free, all-welcome celebration of Irish culture. Taking centre stage was one of our own: Dr. Maria Hughes, known to patients and colleagues alike as "The Fiddle Playing Dentist." Dr. Hughes, who graduated with an honours degree from University College Cork and now practises at our Roxboro and Nenagh clinics, swapped her dental chair for a fiddle for the afternoon, performing alongside a talented group of musician friends. It was a joyful reminder that the people behind Bowe Dental bring passion and talent to far more than just patient care. Partnering with Limerick City & County Council on Trad at the Crescent reflects what we believe community support should look like: showing up, giving something back, and helping bring life to the very streets our patients walk every day. The Crescent has become one of the city's most treasured public spaces this year, and we were honoured to help fill it with music, laughter, and a true sense of community spirit. Events like this are exactly why Bowe Dental invests in the neighbourhoods we serve, whether that's sponsoring local sports clubs, backing community initiatives, or in this case, putting one of our own dentists on stage. A huge thank you to everyone who came down to enjoy the session, to Limerick City & County Council for making it happen, and to Dr. Hughes and her fellow musicians for a truly memorable afternoon on The Crescent.
