The Killaloe Coast Guard Unit is the first inland Coast Guard unit in Ireland, operating as a voluntary service dedicated to search and rescue operations. Comprised of 23 highly trained volunteers, the unit provides 24/7, 365-day emergency response for inland waterways, cliffs, and coasts, specializing in water, land, drone, and mountain search and rescue, as well as first aid response and assistance during severe weather events.
