About us

Murrisk National School

Our Community Impact

Murrisk National School is a rural primary educational institution located at the foot of Croagh Patrick in Westport, Co Mayo. The school promotes a holistic approach to education, focusing on the intellectual, physical, social, cultural, and spiritual development of children. It serves the local community by providing small class sizes, on-site preschool and afterschool services, a community playground, and daily hot school meals. The school is also actively involved in the Green-Schools programme, focusing on environmental sustainability, marine conservation, and global citizenship through initiatives like beach clean-ups and sustainable travel.
