Established in 1724, the school is committed to fostering a caring family atmosphere, promoting dignity, respect, and a love of knowledge. It provides a comprehensive secondary education curriculum, including Junior Cycle, Transition Year, and Leaving Certificate programmes, while fostering community engagement through various student-led initiatives and a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
