The Daughters of Charity are an international community of apostolic life within the Catholic Church, dedicated to serving the poor, disadvantaged, and those experiencing social or educational disadvantage. Since their arrival in Ireland in 1855, they have established a wide range of ministries including disability services, child and family support, homelessness services, hospice care, education, and prison ministry, while also supporting international projects in Africa.
