The Coppeen Archaeological, Historical and Cultural Society (C.A.H.C.S.) is a voluntary, non-profit group dedicated to researching, restoring, and preserving the archaeological, historical, and cultural heritage of the Coppeen area in West Cork. Through the development of the Coppeen Heritage Trail, maintenance of waymarked walking routes, journal publications, and community events, the society fosters a deeper appreciation for local history, ranging from ancient monastic settlements and ringforts to key events in the Irish War of Independence.
