Our Community Impact
The Annaghdown Heritage Society is dedicated to the preservation, research, and promotion of the local history, genealogy, and cultural heritage of the Annaghdown parish in County Galway. Founded in 1996, the society collects and preserves local artefacts, maintains a heritage room at the Corrandulla Old Girls’ School, and documents historical landmarks such as stone-built wells and monastic ruins. Through regular newsletters, podcasts, and community events, the society serves as a vital resource for the local community and the global diaspora, fostering an appreciation for the region's past.
